In this modern-day fairy-tale, set in a big-city
"Little Italy," a passionate love poem casts a spell on an
Italian waitress and a cynical writer, neither of whom speak the other's
language.
Sean Astin is a writer for photo-romance magazines who
succumbs to real-life romance when he meets stylish Italian waitress Emily
Hampshire. Kevin McDonald (Kids in the Hall), Astin's roommate, is
in a panic about his upcoming wedding. Kate Nelligan is the boys'
neighbor, an insatiable woman consumed with lust for the poet who causes
all the romantic chaos, Joe Mantegna.
"The film evokes `60s nostalgia in a contemporary
setting. Jerry Ciccirotti's unique vision blends North American comedy
with European sensibilities," says award-winning Producer Stavros
Stavrides. "It's Fellini directing Breakfast At Tiffany's,"
remarks Gemini-award-winning Director Jerry Ciccirotti.
